Romance, romance...
What exactly is romance, are you wondering? To give you an exact definition,
I've searched up the word on my reliable source, Dictionary.com, and consulted
Wikipedia for more help:
Ro·mance –noun
One A novel or other prose narrative depicting heroic or marvelous deeds, pageantry, romantic exploits, etc., usually in a historical or imaginary setting.
Two The colorful world, life, or conditions depicted in such tales.
Three A medieval narrative, originally one in verse and in some Romance dialect, treating of heroic, fantastic, or supernatural events, often in the form of allegory.
Four A baseless, made-up story, usually full of exaggeration or fanciful invention.
Five A romantic spirit, sentiment, emotion, or desire.
Six Romantic character or quality.
Seven A romantic affair or experience; a love affair.
As you can tell, romance does not solely qualify romantic love.
It's more of a celebration of life under various artistic forms.

The beautiful paintings featured on this layout are Pierre Auguste Cot's Spring and Alfred Sisley's Dutch painting, Obstgarten im Frühling, both found over at
Wikimedia Commons. If you're wondering where that cursive text is from, it's an old cover of Jane Austen's
Pride and Prejudice novel.
